Clinical and Experimental Fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology/Oncology

The ophthalmic pathology/oncology fellowship is a one or two-year fellowship open to post-ophthalmology and pathology residents. The fellow is responsible for gross and microscopic examination of all surgical pathology specimens. The fellow also actively participates in the care of ocular oncology patients, including patients with retinoblastoma and melanoma. The fellow actively participates in resident and medical student education, including preparation of lectures and conferences. Research opportunities and clinical pathology projects are available contingent on the applicant's experience and abilities. A modest stipend is available, and submission of research fellowship grants is encouraged on an individual basis. The fellowship participates in the ophthalmology fellowship match program.

The deadline for applications is November 1 of the year prior to the July 1 starting date for a fellowship.

The fellow will receive a secondary appointment as an Associate in the Emory University School of Medicine.
