2018 Southeastern Vitreoretinal Seminar (SEVR)

Don't miss this opportunity to meet and share information with other vitreoretinal specialists in an open, intellectually demanding, collaborative environment.  Participants are invited to bring case presentations on vitreoretinal surgery, retinal diseases, medical retinal treatments and other related topics. This program is designed for vitreoretinal specialists and is highly regarded by previous attendees.

Emory’s distinguished faculty in ophthalmology will present interesting cases of their own for discussion and help discuss other cases presented.

Learner Objectives

After attending this course, participants should be able to:
• Explain recent advances in vitreoretinal surgical techniques and equipment utilized for addressing retinal detachment repair, macular hole treatment, epiretinal membrane removal, and foreign body removal
• Describe the latest data on medical management of vitreoretinal disease to include treatment strategies, dosing protocols
• Use new techniques in vitreoretinal surgery
• Create dialog on problems facing vitreoretinal specialists
• Lists recent diagnostic and therapeutic advances made in the past year
• Apply knowledge to clinical practice

The Emory University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The Emory University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Important information if you wish to present a case: The Emory Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) must have a signed financial disclosure form by April 10, 2017. In alignment with ACCME Standards of Commercial Support, a financial disclosure form must be received by this date in order to present before the  attendees. No exceptions. Cancellation Policy

A maximum enrollment has been established, so register early. Written cancellations received prior to deadline will be refunded less a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after this date. Emory University reserves the right to cancel the program and return all fees. The liability of Emory University School of Medicine is limited to the course fee. Emory will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including, but not limited to, airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.

Parking

Parking decks are located just off Clifton Road, directly behind The Emory Clinic Building B. Valet parking also is available on the south side of the hospital 24 hours, 7 days a week. Valet charges cover both parking and valet service. Long-term parking cards, good for selfparking in the visitorsí deck, are sold at the concierge desk, 404-712-5619, in the hospitalís main lobby, seven days a week from 9 am-5 pm.
