Low Vision Research

Age-related macular degeneration patients will participate in research about the knowledge gap between cortical plasticity and visual function. Results may provide answer on how behavioral improvements in AMD patients lead to changes in underlying brain activity. Once the link is made, rehabilitation therapies and technologies can be devised to maximize residual vision. Susan Primo, OD, MPH, is principal investigator.
