The Emory Department of Ophthalmology is proud to announce that its newly expanded Optometry Residency Program has accepted two optometrists for the 2024-25 academic year.

Emory Eye Center resident recognized by NANOS Dr. Mung Yan (Amy) Lin receives award for abstract

Lin's research presentation, "Emergency Department Non-Mydriatic Fundus Photography Expedites Care for Patients Referred for Papilledema" received Best Abstract by a Resident at the NANOS Annual Meeting.

Renowned ophthalmic researcher Michael J.A. Girard, PhD has accepted an offer to join the Emory Department of Ophthalmology Research Division in July of 2024. Appointment announced by vice chair and director of research, Machelle T. Pardue, PhD.

Emory Eye Center's newest optometrist had always assumed he'd be joining the family business in California. On March 18, he will officially begin seeing patients at Grady Hospital's Camp Creek campus.
